Hysteroscopy Biopsy

Hysteroscopy biopsy is a minimally invasive procedure that enables our skilled specialist to examine the lining of the uterus (endometrium) and collect tissue samples for laboratory analysis. It involves the use of a hysteroscope, a thin, flexible instrument equipped with a light and camera, which is inserted through the vagina and cervix into the uterus. This allows our experts to visualize the uterine cavity and identify any abnormalities or potential issues.

Procedure

Before the hysteroscopy biopsy, your gynecologist will provide you with detailed instructions on how to prepare for the procedure. It may involve avoiding food and drink for a certain period before the appointment.
The procedure includes administration of local or general anesthesia to ensure your comfort throughout the procedure followed by Insertion of the Hysteroscope and Visualization and Tissue Sampling.

Recovery and Follow Up care

Once the procedure is complete, the hysteroscope is removed, and you will be taken to a recovery area where you will be monitored for a short period. Most patients can return home on the same day and resume their daily activities within a day or two.
Our team will provide you with detailed instructions regarding any post-procedure care. You may experience mild cramping or spotting, which is normal and should subside within a few days.
The collected tissue samples will be sent to a laboratory for analysis, and the results will be communicated to you in a follow-up appointment. Our specialists will guide you through the next steps, discussing potential treatment options or additional tests if necessary.
